Wallflower

So I was scrolling through Tumblr and I came across this picture. Then I realised, it actually describes what I have become... I am too afraid to stand up and stand out because I am not society's version of perfect. I've really had enough of feeling like this so here it is... I am standing up to society and showing my so- called ugliness to the world and if they don't like it they can shove off because I am my own version of perfect and judging me just adds to their imperfections, it can't effect me... It won't stop me. If you're feeling down and want the world to accept you for who you are stand up with me and hold my hand...we'll protect each other! We made it this far, don't give up, leave me a response with #Truliie'ssurvivors

Spring Time Pamper! &Photoshoot

Hello my lovelies, (Really, I'd love to give you all one of those cute little nicknames! Suggestions?)

So... As promised I am back with a post full of goodness and all things BEAUTY! Eeeep!

Okay, if you didn't know alreadfy I loooove doing fashion shoots! I always get new, exciting ideas for outfits and make up looks that I really can't find a place to wear and also ideas for props and set designs just pop into my head so this gives me the peeerrrfect oppotunity to make some use of them and show them off.

My friend, Gemma, (pictured below) loves modelling so one day we were just like 'LET'S DO A PHOTO SHOOT!' So we did and here are the results alongside my little article on what pamperiffic thingymabobs I'm using this spring! Enjoy and don't forget to RATE, COMMENT, SUBSCRIBE... pretty please!(;

This week YoursTruliie decided it was time to get cleaned up and start fresh, we want to forget the bleakness of the winter, which is, slowly, fading away and let the flowers bloom into something pure and beautiful! As always we want all of you guys to join in this little cleansing ceremony so here are a few of our best tips!

Add caption
NUMBER 1. Light a candle, (or twelve)! Why not try one proven to help calm and relax the mind? This will help you wind down from the chores of the long day!
We used ...

NUMBER 2. Fill your bath so deep you can almost touch the water from the other side of the room! Okay so this one isn't very environmentally friendly but you deserve it just this once, you don't want the to flood the place but you do want to be completely soaked in your fave bubbles, the soapy kind not the alcoholic ones, they may come later!(;
We reccomend LUSH's Think Pink Bath bomb for a funky bright pink bath!> https://www.lush.co.uk/product/428/Think-Pink-Bath-Bomb

NUMBER 3. Set up your fave body treats in a line alongside your bath, you don't want to end up being half way through your regal relaxation befpre finding out you need to stand up and stretch across the room to the cupboard to retrieve your body scrub, it just ruins the moment! So do it... YoursTruliie Recommends Soap and Glory's FLAKE AWAY sugar scrub >
http://www.boots.com/en/Soap-Glory-Flake-Away-™-Body-Scrub-300ml_27894/
and Soap and Glory's CLEAN, GIRLS body wash for silky smooth skin!> http://www.boots.com/en/Soap-Glory-Clean-Girls™-Body-Wash-500ml_999407/

NUMBER 4. Select your favourite playlist, (Don't forget to click on Stay by Rihanna to get in your bath as glamoroursly as she does!) OR... pick out your fave page turner and get it ready next to a small hand towel close to hand when you finally get to jump into the infinity of bubbles.

NUMBER 5. For shaving YoursTruliie suggests a Venus Razor as they really do give a comfortable, silky finish and never leave open wounds that don't need even thinking about! For the cream it really is a personal choice but we would reccomend any brand that is good for 'Dry skin'. Even if you do not have dry skin because when you shave it will take some of the moisture and dead skin off as it removes the hairs and this may make you a little sore but if you do have oily skin or you just don't want to use one for dry skin the soreness can also be prevented in Step 6!
Gillette for Women Venus Razor>
http://www.boots.com/en/Gillette-For-Women-Venus-Razor_2481/

NUMBER 6. Select your fave body lotion and wack it near the sink, ready for when you are out the bath, to moisturise your skin after shaving, squeeze a dollop into your hand and just rub it in the appropriate areas to prevent that dryness coming through!

NUMBER 7. Right, I think your ready?! No? Ahh, the bubbly, yes, this time we're talking about those you'll find in a bottle! Get a glass and Happy Relaxing!

WHAT'S GEMMA WEARING?!
White Bandeau- New Look
Cross Necklace - Primark
Red Maxi skirt- Primark- BARGAIN BTW!(;
Skull Bracelet- Internationale
Bangles - They were a gift

MAKE UP

MUA Lipstick in Shade 13

- A beautiful shocking red with a slight sheen, very bold and you must be daring to wear it but VERY worth it!

Frontcover stick (discontinued)
- but it's really a basic golden/beige creme eyeshadow with a subtle shimmer. It's actually my go-to eyeshadow because the fact it's a stick just makes it so easy to apply and it's subtly makes it perfect for every day! If I find something similar in the shops I'll leave a link!

MUA pencil liner in black
-best/ cheapest liner I've come across yet!

2true Liquid liner in blackNot my favourite to be honest because you NEED to put pencil on first because if you try and do a double coat it makes a gap in the line :(

MUA Brow pencilAgain this isn't my fave just because I'm not sure if the colour is too dark for me but otherwise superb! In my opinion defining the brows is like the frame of your face and it just makes you look so much more I don't know, hmm, better? ahaa I just think it's like the icing on the cake! Accept making your makeup like a cake is not recommended... oh you get the jist!

Barbara Daly Souffle Foundation in Soft Linen
Brill! It feels so light, not cakey and doesn't turn you orange and with the right technique this stuff is also good to cover acne scarring! RESULT!

Barbara Daly Pressed Foundation in Warm IvoryWhen I applied this to Gemma's face, all she could say was 'Ooh, I like this!' over and over! I think that about sums it up, don't you?! Again, lovely, light feeling yet great coverage!

Okay my lovelies, I do hope you enjoyed that little piece, I know this is a blog and it's a more personal kind of platform but as you may know I can only dream of being a journalist printing out my articles in the glossy magazines for now so I thought I'd half live the dream here with you guys, let me know what you think of this way of interaction with you guys and I'll be back soon with more!
Thanks to Gemma for being the model for today's shoot!

Sorry!

Hey lovelies, I'm really sorry i haven't being posting but something you should know is I'm not very good at sticking at these things because life just seems to get in the way, but this time I am determined to see it through and keep going with this blog.

Excuses,excuses... There is three main reasons I've been off the rails blogging... Number 1: I was taken into hospital with pyrexia(a temperature) and neutropenia (low white blood cells= low immune system) which meant I couldn't really blog about anything fashion or beauty wise, unless you guys wanted to know about my life in and out of hospital in between our fashion adventures? Let me know.
Number 2: After being off school for the majority of two years I've finally made it back, not full time, but I am getting there!
Number 3: my new job has been keeping me busy, as I really want to make a good impression and I'm loving it right now.

So I think I might let myself off the hook... THIS TIME... And who knows it might happen again. Nevertheless I will always come back so please don't be discouraged!

Let me know what post you want this Spring?! If it ever gets here, what's with all the snow?!

Love you all, Lulu xox

Making My Way

Hello my lovelies, now, I know I said the next post would be the BEAUTYBOX for this season but I really haven't had the time because I, have just landed my first ever job in a bridal shop! I am so excited... I'll be surrounded by fashion- the beautiful gowns, the daintiest, prettiest tiaras and frills in every colour! I mean, okay, to start with it's just two hours a week every friday, but I'm only fifteen and it's something else to add to my CV; one step closer to my dreams of being a fashion journalist! Plus one of the main things I'll be doing is the shop's blog! BONUS! I'm so excited, so I thought I'd share it with you and I promise I'll get that BEAUTYBOX done SOON!
Love you guys,

Hello my lovelies!
So, I was thinking up new ideas for the blog and I thought it would be interesting for both you and me to take a few things from my wardrobe that will be perfect for the coming spring!
I love spring- bring out the pastels and give me some florals in spring and you have a happy bunny! Get it? No? Oh ok…

FASHION BOX#1
Spring Edition

Number One: Beautiful Scarlet Red Maxi-Skirt

So, I might just be the biggest hypocrite in the world… Yes, I do love my pastels but you can’t go wrong with a luscious deep red, can you? I have to admit I’d usually save my bright reds and pinks for summer, but, I’m using the perfect excuse… which is that in GLAMOUR, (magazine), it says reds and bright pinks are in this spring… and we have to do what GLAMOUR tell us, don’t we?! Yes.

I found this gorgeous red maxi skirt in Primark and I just had to buy it, plus, at just £10 it was absolute bargain in my eyes!

Anyway, let me know what you think in the comments!

Number Two: Fabulous Floral Playsuit
Number Three: Blushing Pink Cropped Cardigan

Sticking to my guns this time, or should I say florals!
I love this little playsuit; the shorts are a little too short; the floral pattern is so beautiful though. Plus, I have an obsession with all things strapless!
I paired this pretty playsuit with a cropped blushing pink cardigan. I think it really balances out the colours on the playsuit and makes them ‘POP’! I especially love the pattern, (below).
I purchased this playsuit from Bank for around £30 I think- I must admit it was a while back but they always do cute little things like this playsuit in there, I’m sure! The cropped cardigan is from Primark- snatched off the sale rack! Ooh, I love my sales!

Number Four: Coral/Pink Peter pan Collared Dress

Now I love my peter pan collars and this is no exception! I love, love, love it! The design on the collar is exquisite and I love the fit of the dress, although I do usually pair this with a belt around my waist to create a more defined shape and little black pumps to finish the look. Devine.

Number Five: Mint Green/Black/Cream Leaf Print Maxi Dress.
Number Six: Batwing Cream Knit Cardigan

Now I would usually put this in the summer FASHION BOX but I couldn’t resist the mint ‘greenness’! I love my pastels, as I’ve already said and I love this dress. It’s loose fitting and very flattering, perfect for when your sipping lemonade, (or maybe something a little stronger), at those romantic picnics with that special someone this spring!
The next thing in the FASHION BOX this season is this gorgeous, cream, batwing cardigan I have paired with the maxi dress above. It just gives a lovely, slouchy, relaxed, feeling to the outfit and calms things down for springtime. Plus, again, the knit is just so precious!

Number Seven: Navy Bow Flats

I love my heels but my flats love me back whereas my heels tend to punish me after a night on the town. So they’ve won their way into the spring box. I love these little flats because they are just so cute and I am in love with bows- whether they are on shoes; in your hair; anywhere, I just love them. I also love the ribbed effect on the toe and the way they fit your foot perfectly.

Number Eight: White Floral Hotpants

Now, these are like my true prince charming in the form of fabric! I know I have said this a lot, but I LOVE these the most! They are denim, but they are so comfy unlike so many pairs of denim shorts I’ve had before that have rubbed and just been generally uncomfortable to sit down in. These saved my bum from that agony and I will be eternally grateful. Also, have you seen the print! It is so elegant and beautiful. I knew I had to have them the moment I saw them in New Look!

Well that’s that for the FASHION BOX Spring Edition of 2013… You probably think I’m barking mad as I’ve been telling you how beautiful and elegant these pieces are and my shorts are my prince charming, but I don’t literally think that when I’m walking round the shopping centre, I’m not that mad… I just have a passion for fashion…

Okay, let me know if you enjoyed this post PLEASE! :D

I'd love to hear what you think too, thanks for reading!

Welcome to The Fashion Oracle | By YoursTrulie

 Hello Truliie-Ohs!
(Okay, so I'm not great at coming up with nicknames... what shall I call you?)

Fashion is my escape.
When I’m down, I turn to this shiny, colourful world and it excites me.  It pushes me to want more from life and it keeps me alive like my heart does by beating.

If you asked me to, I could design a piece of clothing with any inspiration you gave to me, whether it is a box of Malteasers or a giant cloud in the sky!  I am inspired by all that is around me - from the wind in the trees to the candy in my pick-and-mix.
Here's a collage I made focusing on makeup looks and clothing items/outfits.
All images found on google.com/images and tumblr. Put together by myself, using Serif DrawplusX5.

I love pictures and photographs more than words… in fact the pictures show me the words. I put pictures together on a blank page and it instantly lifts my spirits and tells me a story of heartbreak and lust; happiness and joy; sadness and gloom; all the stories you find in all of your favourite books thrown together- it’s like a silent symphony of melodies.

That is what I hope to capture this in my blog… In my words… In my photos and my pictures… In my life.

Thanks for Reading,
Lulu
