Hey beautiful boys and girls, soo I told you I would be taking part in the school fashion show didn't I? Well yes, I have to emphasise I am nooot a model! Nuh uh, I wish I had the figure for it but its just not goin to happen but it wasn't that bad.... I was soo nervous- shaking even which isn't like me but I did it! Yay! It's been my goal to do something I don't want to do for a good reason and enjoy it and I did so there we go!
Unfortunately, because of the safe guard policy I couldn't get any photos, however before the fashion show I did my hair and make up at home so I thought I could share that with you to 'make up' for the catwalk photos being a miss - see what I did there.. Ahaa!
If you want a full tutorial just let me know! It's a very dramatic look, but you can't be too dramatic for catwalk (;
What I used:
FACE
-2true concealer
-Barbara Daly mousse foundation in soft linen
-Barbara Daly pressed powder in warm ivory
-MUA bronzer
-Ruby recommends blush (sorry no name, but it's a palette with a pretty rose pink and a peach yellow colour- I dip my blush brush in both and add to apples of my cheeks)
- Technic Highlighter
EYES
-MUA eye primer
-front cover shadow stick
- coal black, golden brown, sparkling champagne and silver grey colour eyeshadows from:
-MUA pencil liner
- 2true black liquid liner
Rimmel London white pencil liner
- NYC mascara
LIPS
-MUA shade 13
-2true colour drench lipgloss No 10
-lipcote
My hair was simply straightened, and then the section on top, towards the back of my head is back combed and gripped with a little 'poof' to add height and volume (:
I also used Umberto Giannini SLEEK & CHIC Seriously Straight Anti-Frizz Serum to add take away frizz and add shine (:
Hope this was ok, very brief, but I hope you like!
Love you my adorbs,
Lulu, xxx
Ps sorry the last pic is dark :( I was rushing round like a mad woman!

Hello my lovelies!
So, I was thinking up new ideas for the blog and I thought it would be interesting for both you and me to take a few things from my wardrobe that will be perfect for the coming spring!
I love spring- bring out the pastels and give me some florals in spring and you have a happy bunny! Get it? No? Oh ok…
So, I was thinking up new ideas for the blog and I thought it would be interesting for both you and me to take a few things from my wardrobe that will be perfect for the coming spring!
I love spring- bring out the pastels and give me some florals in spring and you have a happy bunny! Get it? No? Oh ok…
FASHION BOX#1
Spring Edition
Number One: Beautiful Scarlet Red Maxi-Skirt
So, I might just be the biggest hypocrite in the world… Yes, I do love my pastels but you can’t go wrong with a luscious deep red, can you? I have to admit I’d usually save my bright reds and pinks for summer, but, I’m using the perfect excuse… which is that in GLAMOUR, (magazine), it says reds and bright pinks are in this spring… and we have to do what GLAMOUR tell us, don’t we?! Yes.
I found this gorgeous red maxi skirt in Primark and I just had to buy it, plus, at just £10 it was absolute bargain in my eyes!
Anyway, let me know what you think in the comments!
Number Two: Fabulous Floral Playsuit
Number Three: Blushing Pink Cropped Cardigan
Sticking to my guns this time, or should I say florals!
I love this little playsuit; the shorts are a little too short; the floral pattern is so beautiful though. Plus, I have an obsession with all things strapless!
I paired this pretty playsuit with a cropped blushing pink cardigan. I think it really balances out the colours on the playsuit and makes them ‘POP’! I especially love the pattern, (below).
I purchased this playsuit from Bank for around £30 I think- I must admit it was a while back but they always do cute little things like this playsuit in there, I’m sure! The cropped cardigan is from Primark- snatched off the sale rack! Ooh, I love my sales!
Number Four: Coral/Pink Peter pan Collared Dress
Now I love my peter pan collars and this is no exception! I love, love, love it! The design on the collar is exquisite and I love the fit of the dress, although I do usually pair this with a belt around my waist to create a more defined shape and little black pumps to finish the look. Devine.
Number Five: Mint Green/Black/Cream Leaf Print Maxi Dress.
Number Six: Batwing Cream Knit Cardigan
Now I would usually put this in the summer FASHION BOX but I couldn’t resist the mint ‘greenness’! I love my pastels, as I’ve already said and I love this dress. It’s loose fitting and very flattering, perfect for when your sipping lemonade, (or maybe something a little stronger), at those romantic picnics with that special someone this spring!
The next thing in the FASHION BOX this season is this gorgeous, cream, batwing cardigan I have paired with the maxi dress above. It just gives a lovely, slouchy, relaxed, feeling to the outfit and calms things down for springtime. Plus, again, the knit is just so precious!
Number Seven: Navy Bow Flats
I love my heels but my flats love me back whereas my heels tend to punish me after a night on the town. So they’ve won their way into the spring box. I love these little flats because they are just so cute and I am in love with bows- whether they are on shoes; in your hair; anywhere, I just love them. I also love the ribbed effect on the toe and the way they fit your foot perfectly.
Number Eight: White Floral Hotpants
Now, these are like my true prince charming in the form of fabric! I know I have said this a lot, but I LOVE these the most! They are denim, but they are so comfy unlike so many pairs of denim shorts I’ve had before that have rubbed and just been generally uncomfortable to sit down in. These saved my bum from that agony and I will be eternally grateful. Also, have you seen the print! It is so elegant and beautiful. I knew I had to have them the moment I saw them in New Look!
Well that’s that for the FASHION BOX Spring Edition of 2013… You probably think I’m barking mad as I’ve been telling you how beautiful and elegant these pieces are and my shorts are my prince charming, but I don’t literally think that when I’m walking round the shopping centre, I’m not that mad… I just have a passion for fashion…
Okay, let me know if you enjoyed this post PLEASE! :D
I'd love to hear what you think too, thanks for reading!
